Information used for a result
We process the choices you submit, such as moment or goal, mood, energy, personality sliders, genre directions, story arc, and optional context. The first result can be used without an account. Avoid placing sensitive personal information in optional context.
Accounts and saved data
If you create an account, Supabase may store your email, profile choices, saved results, and history associated with your account. In guest mode, profile choices, recent matches, saved results, and usage counters stay in this browser so the experience survives a reload. You can remove them at any time from Settings.
Service providers
Supabase supports authentication, database storage, abuse prevention, and first-party analytics. When configured, an AI provider may process questionnaire inputs to propose an existing-song candidate; Spotify and YouTube catalog metadata may be used to verify a song, artist, and official video. The native app does not embed a catalog player. When you explicitly choose a music or video destination, that provider opens outside WYTS and handles the interaction under its own privacy terms. RevenueCat and store billing are not initialized in the current free release. We do not connect to or read a user's Spotify account.
Voice feature status
Voice recording is not enabled in this release. The app does not request microphone access or collect voice recordings. You can provide an optional written check-in instead.
Payments and generated music
The current release is free and does not offer in-app purchases or initialize billing. If a future release offers a subscription, its privacy disclosure and store forms will be updated before billing is enabled. Original-music generation is not enabled in the current release.
Analytics and logs
We may record page, onboarding, result, cue-start timing, share, and scrubbed error-category events; session identifiers; request timing; and information needed to operate and secure the service. When you follow a tagged first-party campaign link, we may retain its source, medium, campaign, creative, and term labels for the current browser tab. You can turn off new product analytics in Settings. We do not store ad click IDs or intentionally place contact details, questionnaire free text, credentials, provider tokens, error messages, or stack traces in analytics.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. A signed-in user can permanently delete their account and associated app data from Settings after a recent sign-in. We retain a pseudonymous deletion audit record and records required by law. You may also request access or deletion at privacy@whatsyourthemesong.com.
Public sharing
Only create a public result link when you intend the selected song, artist, mood, arc, genre, explanation, visual choice, and creation time to be publicly accessible to anyone with the unguessable link. Private questionnaire context, email, profile, and provider tokens are excluded. Links may be revoked or expire. Do not include sensitive information in public text.
